Ximena Echagüe

I am a photographer based in Brussels, constantly moving between cities and continents in search of the unexpected.

My work has been exhibited in over 20 countries across Europe, America, and Asia. My long-term documentary project Odyssey — a body of work still in progress — has been presented as a solo exhibition at the United Nations in New York and at the European Parliament in Brussels.

My photographs have appeared in the New York Times, BBC News, the Washington Post, National Geographic, Leica Fotografie International, and LensCulture, among others.

In 2024 I published my first book, Trapped, with Daylight Books, winner of the FEP European Photo Book Award — Best Street Photography Book, 7th edition.

I also work as a curator and jury member, and regularly give workshops and talks internationally.
